VP of Transmission and Interconnection

Compensation: Competitive base salary + bonus + MIP participation
Position: The Vice President of Transmission & Interconnection will lead the strategy, planning, and execution of transmission and interconnection processes for a growing pipeline of shovel-ready data center projects where they will be integrating purpose-built natural gas generation with the latest data center infrastructure. This individual will be responsible for managing utility and ISO/RTO interconnection relationships, overseeing regulatory compliance, and optimizing transmission planning to support the successful development of new sites. The role requires deep expertise in power markets, transmission grid operations, and regulatory frameworks, as well as the ability to engage effectively with key stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in transmission planning, interconnection, or grid operations within the power generation, data center, or energy markets sector.
- Expertise in ISO/RTO interconnection processes, FERC regulations, and utility transmission planning.
- Strong relationships with utilities, regulatory agencies, and transmission operators.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, work cross-functionally, and drive strategic initiatives.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Experience leading and mentoring teams in a fast-paced and evolving market.
