Senior Power-flow Engineer
Location: Boulder, CO or NYC
Company: Our client operates two closely related businesses in the power markets space:
- A quantitative power-focused hedge fund
- A power systems / grid analytics & consulting startup
Primary responsibilities:
(1) ownership over interconnection studies for clients;
(2) management and development of junior power-flow engineers; and
(3) working with the engineering team to help architect and construct in-house power-flow software stack.
Requirements:
- P.E. with 5+ years experience using TARA, Powerworld, PSSE, or similar.
- Of particular interest is familiarity with voltage & frequency stability analysis.
- Ideal work history includes time on reliability/interconnection study teams at a utility or an ISO/RTO.
