Senior Electrical Designer

Location:

  1. Overland Park, KS
  2. Phoenix, AZ
  3. Remote

This individual will be responsible for the engineering and design solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and/or energy storage systems.

  • System Layout and optimization
  • Determining power generation and interconnection requirements
  • Perform AC/DC system sizing calculations
  • Manage the electrical engineering of commercial and utility scale solar and/or energy storage projects
  • Manage and support the engineering staff performing electrical calculations and studies

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience designing solar energy PV projects (utility scale)
  • Familiarity with medium and low voltage electrical systems and components
  • Experience and knowledge of overall design and construction of utility scale PV and/or wind plants
  • Working knowledge of the NEC and NESC
  • Knowledge and proficiency in the use of an electrical power system modeling program(s) (AutoCAD, ETAP)
