Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Director or Vice President of Procurement to lead enterprise procurement strategy and execution across a portfolio of large-scale gas-fired power generation projects.
This role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and will oversee both major equipment procurement execution and strategic supplier and OEM relationship management.
The position plays a critical role in securing long-lead generation equipment, negotiating OEM agreements, and building the supply-side foundation required to support multi-gigawatt project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead procurement of gas turbines and major generation equipment packages.
- Manage RFP processes, bid evaluations, and commercial negotiations.
- Own relationships with major turbine OEMs and strategic suppliers.
- Maintain market intelligence on turbine availability and slot capacity.
- Oversee specification alignment and equipment strategy across projects.
- Develop preferred supplier frameworks and long-term supply agreements.
- Manage long-lead item planning and supply chain risk mitigation.
- Build and scale procurement capabilities as portfolio grows.
- Provide executive-level reporting and supply chain insights.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of procurement or supply chain leadership in power generation.
- Direct experience with gas turbine procurement (Simple Cycle and/or CCGT).
- Experience at a utility, IPP, developer, EPC, or turbine OEM.
- Deep familiarity with turbine specifications and plant configurations.
- Strong OEM relationships and negotiation experience.
- Experience leading teams or building procurement functions.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth development environment.
Compensation
Senior Director Level: $200K – $275K base + bonus + equity
Vice President Level: $250K – $350K base + bonus + equity
