Summary: This role is seeking someone with technical accounting, financial reporting and consolidations experience. Will have some GL responsibilities but the emphasis is on the technical side. CPA preferred.
- Perform general accounting transactions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Ad hoc reporting and analysis
- Reporting, balance sheet reviews and fluctuation analysis
- Prepare audit work papers
- Assist in review of internal controls
- Review Staff Accountant’s work activities: journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations
- Research, analyze and document technical accounting issues
- Participate in implementation and adherence of new accounting standards, including but not limited to, ASC 606 Revenue From Contracts with Customers and ASC 842 Lease Accounting
- Participates in development and implementation of new processes, procedures, policies and controls
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 5+ plus years’ accounting experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; methods and techniques of financial analysis and research
- Experience applying ASC 606 Revenue From Contracts With Customers and ASC 842 Lease Accounting
- Proficient user of ERP systems; knowledgeable user of larger financial reporting systems
