Project Manager or Senior Project Manager (Independent Engineer)
Salary: $120k – $160k
Location: Remote
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager (Independent Engineer) to spearhead our Solar and BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) portfolio.
In this high-impact role, you will report directly to the Principal & CEO and serve as the primary lead for project execution, client relations, and the mentorship of emerging project staff.
Core Responsibilities

Advisory & Due Diligence: Author and audit comprehensive technical reports to support project financing and investment decisions.

Contractual Oversight: Navigate and evaluate complex agreements, including EPC, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), O&M, and commercial contracts.

Technical Stewardship: Provide high-level engineering direction to the project team and manage the full lifecycle of the independent engineering process.

Asset Evaluation: Perform deep-dive reviews of hardware (PV modules, BESS, inverters) and verify commissioning protocols and field results.

On-Site Monitoring: Conduct site visits to track construction progress and ensure quality standards are met.

Project Governance: Manage budgets and timelines to ensure all client deliverables exceed expectations.
Candidate Profile

Educational Background: A degree in Engineering (Electrical highly preferred), Science, or Finance.

Experience: At least a five years of professional experience in utility-scale renewables, specifically within independent engineering, consulting or development engineering.

Technical Fluency: Deep knowledge of energy modeling, equipment specs, and design documentation.

Strategic Communication: Ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and commercial stakeholders/investors.

Leadership: A proven track record of making autonomous decisions and acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
