Project Engineer
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)
Position Overview: We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our growing Project Execution team. This opportunity is for an engineering professional with experience in capital project execution, ideally within the power or industrial sectors. The role will blend technical project engineering with in-field execution oversight, requiring both a strong technical foundation and a willingness to be onsite during critical phases of construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support project execution from engineering through commissioning phases, working closely with project managers and construction supervisors
- Provide technical oversight on medium- and low-voltage electrical systems, including switchgear, power distribution equipment, and OEM packaged systems
- Coordinate engineering deliverables and ensure alignment with project execution plans
- Act as a field engineering resource during construction and commissioning (30%+ travel expected)
- Collaborate with EPC partners, equipment vendors, and internal engineering teams
- Support project cost, schedule, and performance objectives throughout the project lifecycle
Preferred Background:
- 5–12 years of project engineering experience, with exposure to capital projects in industrial, power, or energy sectors
- Strong electrical background with working knowledge of medium-voltage switchgear and power systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required
- Hands-on experience supporting construction activities in the field
- Highly motivated, proactive, and willing to travel as needed for project execution
