Project Development Manager, Solar & Storage
Location: Remote within Southcentral Region of U.S.
This person will be managing and developing large utility-scale solar and storage projects throughout the Southcentral region of the U.S. (ERCOT, SPP, and MISO South). The successful candidate will lead cross-functional project teams with expertise in engineering, meteorology and resource assessment, permitting, environmental studies, real estate/title, and transmission. Previous experience in utility-scale solar or wind development is strongly preferred.
Requirements:
- 2+ years development experience in the renewable energy industry required
- 4 year college degree required, advanced and/or technical degree preferred
- Project management experience required
- Proven track record in project management and renewable energy contract negotiations
- Development experience in the ERCOT, SPP or MISO preferred
- Good communication skills and personable between board directors and landowners
- Must have solid land acquisition/permitting/abatement experience
- Must know how to develop and permit a utility-scale solar project from conception through hand-off to construction
