Junior Power-flow Engineer
Location: Boulder, CO or NYC
Company: Our client operates two closely related businesses in the power markets space:
- A quantitative power-focused hedge fund
- A power systems / grid analytics & consulting startup
Primary responsibilities:
(1) conducting fault & reliability analysis in planning cases for prospective interconnection clients and
(2) working closely with the engineering team to develop in-house powerflow tools.
Requirements:
- P.E. with 2+ years experience using TARA, Powerworld, PSSE, or similar.
- Familiarity with voltage & frequency stability analysis. Steady-state analysis is helpful as well
- Ideal work history includes time on reliability/interconnection study teams at a utility or an ISO/RTO.
