Engineering Project Manager (Design) – Data Centers & Critical Facilities
Location: Remote (travel required)
Travel: Typically 1–2×/month for 2–3 days (Tues–Thurs)
Project Types: Data Center projects of every size. This person may handle anything from a few branch circuits on a mega-campus to elements of the largest data center projects in the world.
Position Overview: We are currently looking for a Project Manager with data center project experience to a fast-growing team. This role will:
- Assist in the development and management of various projects and their strategic plans
- Act as engineering design Project Manager with primary responsibility for all phases of multiple projects
- Coordinate all design related activities necessary to meet the goals and needs of the client.
- Manage overall design execution through construction administration
- Collaborate with the Architect, Contractor, Data Center Operations and other project team members to meet the project design objectives.
- Contribute to business processes related to design contracts.
- Manage overall project budget and schedule.
Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or a closely related field.
- 5+ years of design engineering project management experience in the data center market projects is required.
- 5+ years of design engineering experience, in addition to project management experience.
- Proficiency in ACC, Procore, or similar technology is preferred.
- Firm knowledge and understanding of all phases of work from architectural/engineering construction drawings and specifications, through construction and through commissioning.
- Requires excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as business presentation skills.
- The ability to effectively interface with all levels of management and staff across organizational lines, including other client business units.
- Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated success at building team relationships and partnerships across organizational lines.
Other desirable credentials:
- Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE)
- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
- Construction execution & contract negotiation experience
