Title: Director, Strategic Finance
Locations: Maryland (Washington D.C. – Baltimore area)
Schedule: hybrid, in-office schedule
Reports to: CFO
Overview: Our client is accelerating the hire of a Director, Strategic Finance, to support increased demands around project modeling and investment analysis. This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on financial modeling, investment committee (IC) materials preparation, and supporting project finance processes. The successful candidate will be a quantitatively strong finance professional with a background in infrastructure or power.
Responsibilities:
- Own and develop complex project finance models.
- Support and prepare Investment Committee and Board materials.
- Assist in project-level finance activities, including underwriting and capital deployment analysis.
- Translate ambiguous or uncertain project data into structured, actionable outputs.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership to drive decision-making on strategic investments.
Key Requirements:
- 5–10 years of experience in infrastructure finance, project finance, or infrastructure M&A.
- Must have experience in a quantitative role focused on infrastructure M&A
- Strong quantitative modeling skills; ability to take full ownership of financial models.
- Experience preparing IC memos and materials for board-level discussions.
- Exposure to power/energy infrastructure—ideally with a commodities forecasting background vs. renewables-only experience.
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Maryland office (onsite required).
