Director, Operations (Power Solutions)
Location: Midland/Odessa, TX / Carlsbad, NM
Role Overview: The Director of Operations oversees all field operations related to turbine services, including installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and inspections. This leader ensures projects are executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule while maintaining high-quality standards and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage all turbine field operations and service execution.
- Lead and develop a team of field operators, specialists, and site leads.
- Partner with project management on planning, resource allocation, and mobilization/demobilization.
- Drive and enforce compliance with OSHA and internal safety policies.
- Oversee logistics of turbine components, tools, and parts in coordination with the warehouse.
- Manage operational budgets and track field-level performance metrics.
- Report on uptime, safety, and KPI performance
- Serve as the primary operational point of contact for field matters and client interface.
- Continuously improve processes and leverage field data to enhance execution efficiency.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years in turbine services or power generation field operations.
- 3+ years in operational leadership managing field teams.
- Proven track record in safety management, operational coordination, and team leadership.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills; ability to operate independently and make data-driven decisions.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% to field sites.
