Director of Business Development

Location: Remote opportunity, or hybrid office schedule if in Dallas

This role responsible for creating new opportunities, managing the sales process, developing long?term customer relations, client communications, collaborating on technical solutions, submitting commercial proposals and working with the team to close the order. Lead generation, account development and maintenance are primary responsibilities. This person will work closely with management to integrate all near? and long?term technical, regulatory and product initiatives into a single, cohesive strategy.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic salesperson and strong strategic thinker with at least five (5) years of combined proven experience selling and managing FGC OEM?Distribution channels for an organization with a technical aptitude of natural gas processing and reciprocating engines. As a sales expert, the candidate will possess a strong business, financial acumen and demonstrate the ability to link marketing strategy and results directly to overall sales execution and company financial goals. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Oil & Gas industry and be able to immediately grasp complex regulatory and market drivers within granular geographic energy markets. 

Essential Duties:

  • Communicate with clients and FGC OEM?Distribution channels on technical content, commercial matters and negotiations to close orders.
  • Manage and support FGC OEM?Distribution channels per the sales and marketing roles and responsibilities set forth in the OEM?Distributor agreement including, but not limited to, sales forecast, business plans, identify new markets, product direction and establish new channels to market.
  • Actively train FGC Distributor sales personnel on the value proposition, which includes financial, technical and ESG benefits; participate in joint sales calls with clients.
  • Generate management?approved proposals, provide management with frequent and comprehensive project updates and collaborate with management on negotiating associated agreements.

Requirements:

  • OEM experience managing or supporting distributor channels
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business preferred
  • 5+ years’ work experience in technical sales managing OEM Distributors
  • At least five (5) years of combined proven experience selling and managing FGC OEM?Distribution channels for an organization with a technical aptitude of natural gas processing and reciprocating engines
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas industry and ability to grasp complex regulatory and market drivers
  • Experience researching state and federal regulatory requirements to aide in the company’s go-to-market strategy
