Financial Analyst
Location: Houston, TX
This person will have the opportunity to do a broad spectrum of finance work spanning M&A, Commercial and Business Development support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in Finance, Investor Relations, Business Development, Commercial and Operational meetings
- Develop detailed models to create revenue and cash flow financial forecasts (both corporate and project-level forecasting)
- Prepare various presentations for the Board of Directors
- Heavily involved in the underwriting and due diligence of M&A / inorganic opportunities
- Generate project presentations and approval packages
- Research and analyze energy development activity in the Company’s focus areas
- Prepare analysis of financial and operational results
- Work with the commercial team on analysis and review of potential business development opportunities
- Assist the Investor Relations function, which includes developing IR presentations, writing public disclosure, participating in investor meetings, etc.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with emphasis on Finance, Economics, Accounting or related
- 1 – 3 years of banking, corporate finance, and/or business development experience in the energy industry, preferably focused in Midstream or Upstream
- Demonstrated aptitude and success in financial modeling and analysis
- Experience building and/or operating corporate models
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
