Corporate Development Analyst, Midstream

Location: Houston, TX

This is an opportunity for a corporate development analysis professional to join a dynamic team at a premiere full-service midstream provider. The candidate will play a key role in working closely on functional corporate development areas of the company with the Chief Commercial Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead valuation analysis by building comprehensive financial models.
  • Evaluate and model potential M&A transactions and other development opportunities.
  • Prepare underwriting materials to achieve internal approvals to progress contemplated transactions.
  • Manage execution and due diligence for M&A and other business development opportunities.
  • Prepare presentation materials and analyses for Executive Management and Board of Directors meetings and other stakeholders.
  • Research and apply critical thinking to industry trends, competitor dynamics and current events to provide relevant business insights.
  • Recommend marketing strategies to enhance company productivity and help achieve long term strategic objectives.
  • Support negotiations of key contracts and agreements to ensure smooth transition for acquisition and operation integration.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years’ financial experience in oil and gas industry
  • Must have 2 years of either Investment Banking and/or Private Equity Experience (Oil & Gas focused, preferably Midstream)
  • Strong skills in creation of complex financial economic models
  • Must be skilled in excel, PowerPoint creation and presentations and associated analytical work that comes with corporate development positions
