Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Analyst to join a Congestion Management Services team. This role involves supporting business operations, client engagement, IT integration, and market analysis focused primarily on the PJM region, with occasional support across other U.S. electricity markets.
The Analyst will play a key role in delivering actionable insights, managing regulatory compliance, and supporting both internal and external stakeholders through technical analysis and business consulting. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong foundation in electricity markets, financial modeling, and data analysis, and who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support congestion right allocation and auction processes in PJM markets, providing strategic recommendations to clients.
• Provide analytical, technical, and client-facing support for PJM market activities.
• Develop and implement ARR/FTR portfolio management strategies aligned with client objectives.
• Collaborate with IT teams to automate and streamline data retrieval, analysis, and portfolio submission processes.
• Engage with ISO market applications to submit portfolios, monitor market activity, and maintain compliance.
• Participate in ISO stakeholder discussions to stay informed of market developments, tariff changes, and policy updates.
• Analyze the impact of tariff changes and communicate clear, actionable insights to clients.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, supporting them in optimizing their market participation.
Qualifications:
• 4+ years of experience in congestion management, energy market analytics, financial analysis, or portfolio optimization.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced training or certifications are a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL Server and Microsoft Excel.
• Deep understanding of ISO data, including LMPs, FTRs, constraint modeling, outage coordination, and market settlements.
• Demonstrated experience in electricity markets, energy derivatives, or utility analytics.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of PJM market structures and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience in ARR/FTR processes.
• Understanding of portfolio optimization and risk management concepts.
• Familiarity with market forecasting models or energy analytics tools.
