C&I Solar Project Developer

Location: Boulder, CO or Remote consideration depending on location

The Commercial and Industrial Project Developer will support the origination, development, and delivery of solar + storage + EV projects on-time and on-budget, by collaborating closely with colleagues at all levels of the organization, co-developers, landlords, utilities, AHJs, and local communities. They will guide development strategies for commercial and industrial solar projects and project portfolios for optimal design will have the greatest commercial value.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop projects originated by the team and co-developers, or acquired from partners
  • Perform portfolio-level development to Notice to Proceed (NTP)
  • Develop and manage project schedule(s) and work with partners and key stakeholders to ensure development milestones are met
  • Guide projects through the interconnection process, working with engineers, utilities, and Authority-Having-Jurisdictions (AHJs)
  • Ensure projects obtain site control and project clear title review
  • Create Permitting Plan and Permitting Matrix to obtain all necessary permits
  • Ensure rooftop, structural, geotechnical and other due diligence are completed on-time and on-budget

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related field preferred; advanced degrees and breadth of experience are a plus
  • 2+ years of Commercial and Industrial project development experience, including solar and storage projects
  • EV Project Development experience a plus, but not required
  • Demonstrated success conceptualizing and selling renewable energy solutions
  • Understanding of all aspects of solar power development, including siting, interconnection, permitting, construction, and financing as well as utility/energy/grid transformation
  • Direct experience in distribution-grid level project development, obtaining site control, acquiring interconnection services agreements, and managing equipment supply chains
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and/or Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets, Calendar); Proficiency in Adobe CS and Salesforce
