Capital Markets Manager/ Renewable Energy
Locations: Houston, TX (in-office, hybrid schedule)
The Role: This person will work with other divisions to close tax equity and debt financing transactions for the C&I portfolio of solar and storage projects. They will help to lead processes around financing projects from initial commercial target-setting, project marketing, bid analysis, counterparty selection, and negotiation of term sheets and definitive agreements.
Responsibilities:
? Plan, coordinate, and execute on the closing process of tax equity and project finance transactions
? Review and design financial models, validate inputs, and negotiate changes to existing deal structures
? Collaborate with Project Development and Business Development to assess offtake creditworthiness and develop credit risk strategies
? Analyze prospective bids made by tax equity investors and lenders
? Develop and maintain third-party financing relationships within the industry, identify new financing strategies and opportunities, and educate the Company on new entrants and solutions within the tax equity financing industry
Qualifications:
? Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
? At least 4 years of experience as a whole with 3 years’ specifically focused in renewable energy
? 4+ years direct professional work experience with tax equity transactions, including partnership flips and sale-leasebacks
? Must have strong project financial modeling experience as well as debt modeling experience. Tax equity experience is a bonus.
? Understanding and ability to work with financial models and perform sensitivity analyses, particularly with regards to features specific to tax equity partnership and debt transactions, such as investment tax credits, capital accounts, DROs, HLBV, etc.
? Renewable Energy experience required
? Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other products such as PPT, etc.
? Salesforce experience preferred
